The Azov organization is openly recruiting in France, with examples of French militants Karel Cherel-Salzburg (joined in 2018 via Bastion Social in Lyon) and Gaston Besson (a former war criminal in Yugoslavia who recruited in Switzerland). A French-language website was registered on October 20, 2023, and leaflets are distributed in Paris.
